Last update on 08/07/2025

We are Unico, a Brazilian company that simplifies people's lives with facial biometrics solutions. Our goal is to connect you to products and services in a simple and secure way, ensuring greater safety, transparency, and control over your personal data.

At Unico, respect for your privacy is a non-negotiable value. Therefore, throughout this document, we will explain our role and how we handle your personal data within the context of the Unico Account.

What is a Unico Account and who can use it?

A Unico Account is your digital identification for accessing Unico's products or services.

Your contracting company manages access to the Unico Account. It grants you the necessary permissions to use our products and services. To do this, you must follow the legal requirements and accept this document, binding both you and the contracting company to our rules.

By agreeing, you confirm that you are legally authorized to accept this document.

How do we collect your data?

We collect your data when the Contracting Company registers you to grant you access to our products or services.

During this process, you or a company representative with the necessary permissions enters your basic personal data—such as your email, phone number, name, and social security number—into the product. An invitation to create a Unico Account is then automatically sent to you.

If your user profile allows you to provide Unico with the personal data of third parties, you must do so in compliance with applicable laws and Unico's security policies. In case of conflict, Unico's rules will always take precedence over those of the contracting company.

What do we use your personal data for?

After creating your Unico Account, the personal data you provide is used for the following purposes:

1. Service Operation and Access

  • Registration and authentication: To allow you to access our products, services, and the privacy portal.

  • Technical support: To provide the necessary assistance when you need help.

2. Improvement and Development

  • Continuous improvement: To develop, maintain, and enhance the features and functionalities of our products.

  • Analytics and performance: To measure the reach and usage of our services, evaluate Browse habits, and understand how users find our products.

3. Security and Compliance

  • Security analysis: To protect your account and our systems, preventing fraud and unauthorized access.

  • Legal compliance: To comply with court orders or other legal requirements, when applicable.

With whom can your personal data be shared?

Unico may share your personal information with companies, government agencies, or other third parties in the following cases:

  • By court order or other valid determination from a competent authority.

  • When required by law.

Where is your personal data stored, and for how long?

We store your personal data securely and confidentially on servers located in the United States.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the product's purposes, the reasons described in this notice, or to comply with applicable law.

Does Unico perform international data transfers?

The personal data processed by Unico may be transferred internationally to the United States for cloud storage with GOOGLE, for the period your data is processed by Unico.

The databases are located in the United States. Accordingly, in compliance with international data transfer legislation, Unico has a contract with GOOGLE, with the necessary legal support for providing cloud storage services.

The data is transferred via secure protocols to the cloud, where it remains stored in an encrypted format.
