Last updated on January 31, 2026.
We are Unico, a Brazilian company that simplifies people's lives with facial biometrics solutions. Our goal is to connect you to products and services in a simple and secure way, ensuring greater security, transparency, and control over your personal data.
At Unico, respect for your privacy is a non-negotiable value. Therefore, throughout this document, we will explain our role and how we handle your personal data in the context of your Unico Account.
What is the Unico Account and who can use it?
The Unico Account is your digital ID for accessing Unico products or services. Your contracting company manages access to your Unico Account. It grants you the necessary permissions to use our products and services. To do so, you must comply with legal requirements and accept this document, binding both you and the contracting company to our rules.
By agreeing, you confirm that you are legally entitled to accept this document.
How do we collect your data?
Data collection begins when the contracting company registers you and grants you permission to access our products or services.
In this case, you or a representative from your company with the necessary permissions enters your basic personal data into the product, such as email, name, and government identifier (when requested). Following this, you will receive a link to create a Unico Account or create your password.
If your user profile allows you to provide Unico with the personal data of third parties, you must do so in accordance with applicable law and Unico's security rules. In case of conflict, Unico's rules always prevail over those of the contracting company.
What do we use your personal data for?
After creating your Unico Account, the personal data you enter is used for the following purposes:
1. Operation and Access to Services
Registration and authentication: To allow you to access our products, services, and privacy portal.
Technical support: To provide the necessary assistance when you need help.
2. Improvement and Development
Continuous improvement: To develop, maintain, and enhance the features and functionalities of our products.
Analysis and performance: To measure the reach and use of our services, evaluate browsing habits, and understand how users arrive at our products.
3. Security and Compliance
Security analyses: To protect your account and our systems, preventing fraud and unauthorized access.
Legal compliance: To comply with judicial or legal orders, when applicable.
With whom might your personal data be shared?
Unico may share your personal information with companies, government agencies, or third parties in the following cases:
By order of a court or other competent authorities, whether from the United States or international.
When required by law, whether national or international.
Sale or Sharing of Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information or share your personal information for targeted advertising, and have not done so in the prior 12 months. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under the age of 16, and have not done so in the prior 12 months.
Where is your personal data stored, and for how long?
Your personal data is stored securely and confidentially on servers in the United States.
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the product, as described in this notice, or to comply with the law.
Does Unico perform international data transfers?
Your personal data is securely stored on servers located in the United States, using the cloud infrastructure of Google Cloud. Although the data remains physically stored in the United States, it may be accessed by our authorized teams located in other countries.
Additionally, in order to guarantee the provision and improvement of our services, your personal data may be transferred internationally to other partners and suppliers, following the guidelines of applicable legislation.
You can exercise your legal rights at any time by contacting Unico's privacy team directly at [email protected].
How do we protect your data?
Your personal data is stored securely and confidentially in our database. Our servers may be located in Brazil or other countries, but the goal is always the same: to ensure that only you can use this data in your operations.
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the product, the reasons described in this notice, or to comply with applicable law.
